Iran's Quranic Week Held in Dubai
The closing ceremony of Iran’s Quranic Week in Dubai was held on August 6 at the premises of the Iranian Cultural Center.
According to IQNA’s correspondent, the Quranic week arranged by Iran’s Cultural Center in Dubai was attended by a number of Iranian officials and dignitaries including Ayatollah Madani, Supreme Leader’s representative in the UAE, Seyyed Mohammad Hossein Hashemi, Iranian cultural attaché in Dubai, Hojat-ol-Islam Rashed Yazdi, adroit peacher, Ghasem Mohgaddami, first winner of the 29th International Quran Contest, Peyman Ayazi, entire Quran memorizer and a number of Iranians residing in the country.
Top winners of the second dition of Quran recitation and memorization competition for Iranian expatriates were honored during the event.
The Iranian cultural attaché made a speech at the ceremony and said, “the contest featured three categories for kids, teenagers and adults both for men and women”, adding that it was well received by the Iranians residing in Dubai.
He went on to add that an exhibition of Quranic calligraphy and incrustation, and Quranic software, was mounted during the Quranic Week as well.
He also pointed to a number of cultural competitions held during the week and said: “A contest on religious knowledge was also held on the sidelines of the Quran event and top winners were awarded”.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Mr. Hashemi expressed hope that the two Iranian representatives at the 16th edition of Dubai Quran Award would win the top prizes in their own category.
Also speaking at the ceremony, Peyman Ayazi elaborated on methods as to the memorization of the holy Quran and underscored the effective role of the families in raising Quranic children stressing that repetition is the key factor to memorize the Divine Book.
He also extended his thanks to the International Quran News Agency’s dispatched journalist and photographer for extensive coverage of the contest.
